Performance Anxiety
Performance anxiety, an off-shoot of perfectionism, is something most of us have experienced and can relate to. When we focus on, and obsess about, our “performance,” in any area of our lives, we’re not present to—rather, we’re disengaged from—the “process.” Performance anxiety pertains to high levels of anxiety, self-consciousness and, really, the dread of failing to deliver something we desperately demand of ourselves to deliver—to an extent that our sky-high anxiety warps our perspective and sabotages our better interests. As debilitating as it is, performance anxiety is pervasive. As a psychotherapist and Life Coach, I’ve seen first-hand how liberating it can be to get a handle on your performance anxiety. Together, let’s get you liberated.
